The project arose from a different and very peculiar interview with the owner: "I would like the house to have music, emotion, wood, air, fire, water, light, path, search. And I also want it to be an icon that represents something innovative." Based on sustainability premises, both the project and construction of Casa 01 were developed, from its conception, by a group of professionals from different fields, aiming to prove that it is possible to build in a rational manner while minimizing environmental impacts, transforming a living object into an example of changing habits in construction and residential use. These considerations earned Casa 01 the highest award in the 4th edition of the Saint-Gobain Architecture Award - Sustainable Habitat in the Sustainability Highlight and Professional Residential Category, second place in the international RTF Sustainability Awards 2017 in the Residence Building category, and selection for the international Building of the Year'18 Awards by ArchDaily. It is also the only Brazilian project included in the book Green Architecture Today 2018.
